Buffet East Germany

Very nice East German buffet from the late 19th century. This kitchen cabinet is made of pine wood and the doors are always equipped with the original stretched glass. This model is quite exceptional with this base. Normally, there is usually a low piece of furniture closed under the glass part. This buffet is a kind of side table with stretched legs and an elegant shelf and drawer. Outside this piece of furniture, different types of painting techniques were used to decorate the furniture. The interior of the upper cabinet is painted green with a deep shelf and two shallow shelves. In the past, cracks in the back were covered with newspaper strips. And in one place, an old cork was put away to avoid vermin. Naturally, this piece of furniture has been completely treated against woodworms, restored if necessary and provided with a layer of floor wax.
