Glass vase "Stella Polaris" by Nanny Still — Riihimäen Lasi

Green lime blown glass vase, flattened octagonal body, cylindrical neck with flared rim. Both sides feature a relief decoration of bubbles of varying sizes, characteristic of the Stella Polaris series. It bears its original factory sticker. Very good used condition, with no deep scratches, cracks, or chips. Dimensions. Height: 18.5 cm — Width: 14 cm. Nanny Still (1926–2009) Finnish glass designer. Educated at the Central School of Applied Arts in Helsinki. Designer at Riihimäen Lasi (Finland) from 1949 to the 1970s, then at Rosenthal (Germany) after moving to Belgium. Her work encompasses glass, jewellery, and metal objects. A major figure in post-war Scandinavian design, her creations for Riihimäen Lasi are now highly sought after by collectors.
