Vintage pressed glass box

Elegant smoked glass box from the 1940s-1960s, made of pressed moulded glass, with a textured hobnail design (embossed patterns in the form of regular spikes). Matching lid with solid handle and geometric decoration. Beautiful light amber colour, typical of vintage glassware of the period. Perfect decorative object for a retro kitchen, a chic bathroom or as a small table storage (butter dish, sugar bowl, jewellery box, etc.). Unsigned – probably european or american model. Good condition, some bubbles in the original glass (not defects, but signs of the period manufacturing process) and two small chips at the spikes on the edge of the container dimensions: 18.5 X 13.5 X 6.5 quite heavy, made of thick glass: 1.3 kgs.
