Pichet Denbac flamed stoneware signed with sculptural spout

Glazed stoneware jug from the Denbac factory, identifiable by its impressed signature under the base. Founded in Vierzon in 1910 by Denert and Balichon, Denbac (a contraction of their two names) established itself as a reference for French artistic stoneware, with active production until 1952. A beautiful piece with deep hues, where the glazes interplay between petroleum blue, green, and burnished reflections. The top features controlled drip effects, while the lower part develops a subtly granular, almost satin-like texture, typical of firings rich in material. The whole offers a vibrant and lively surface, quite shiny. The shape is simple and balanced, highlighted by a particularly original spout, almost sculptural, which gives the piece its unique character. In excellent vintage condition, shiny (see photos). Height 21 cm, base diameter 12 cm. A strong and silent presence, perfect in an interior where the material and depth of the glazes structure the space.
