Mid-century modern round tulip dining table, restored by Drevotvar, 1960s.

This elegant dining table, typical of mid-20th century modern design, was made by Drevotvar in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s-1970s. Its beautiful walnut veneer top rests on a sculptural turned wood column and a sturdy tulip base in steel. The contrast of materials creates a refined, organic, and modern aesthetic, reminiscent of Scandinavian designs and those of Eero Saarinen. The wooden elements have been fully restored, while the steel base has retained its original condition, with some superficial scratches.
