Certain pieces capture light even before reflecting an image. Stunning circular wall mirror made of cast aluminium, representative of the European brutalist movement of the 1970s. The frame features an alternating rhythm of geometric relief modules, with deliberately textured and hammered surfaces. The slightly irregular and not perfectly smooth edges enhance its sculptural and mineral character, evoking a material that is roughly hewn, almost architectural. This controlled irregularity captures light differently depending on the angle and creates a deep and lively play of shadows once the piece is hung. The piece is heavy (approx. 4–5 kg), reflecting a quality construction in solid cast aluminium. It exudes a strong presence while maintaining the elegance of its circular line. Beautiful original silver patina, with grey nuances and darker areas accentuating the mineral effect. Thick glass (6 mm). Profile of about 1 cm. Back with red felt and original hanging system. European production around 1970. Very good vintage condition, patina consistent with age. A strong architectural presence, animated by an organic vibration in the treatment of the material.
