Wooden secretary, 1950s

Vintage 1950s secretary desk in veneered slatted wood. The front graphics and sloping profile are particularly noteworthy for this model. It consists of a display case with two sliding glass panels, a removable solid wood shelf behind the flap, and two doors at the bottom that open onto a removable shelf. Good used condition. Note that the missing edge at the bottom of the secretary desk has been filled in with wood filler. A screw cover is missing from the right screw where the compass slides. The key is not the original one, but it opens and closes perfectly. Since the secretary desk is sloping, key locking is optional. This beautifully crafted French work and storage unit is elegant and compact, and will easily fit into any space in your home, such as an entrance hall, hallway, office, or bedroom.
