Large vintage flat plate in white ceramic with a border adorned with yellow and black rays. Stamped underneath: FB 96. The production of earthenware in Badonviller began in 1828 when Nicolas Fenal inherited a pottery in Meurthe-et-Moselle. He took over the business, and upon his death in 1857, his children and nephews succeeded him, including one, Théophile Fenal, who created his own factory in Badonviller. The Badonviller factory is an important manufacturer of fine earthenware from the 19th century. It is part of the many factories in Eastern France that benefited from the wood resources of the Lorraine forests for firing the kilns. Perfect for completing a set and brightening a beautiful table with its typical design from the 50s/60s.
