50/60 convertible sofa

Sofa bed from the late 50s, early 60s in a pretty red-burgundy color, theater style. Found at an antique dealer at the lyon flea market. It has always been looked after. The seat remains firm but no loss of loft and flexibility. Comfort of the time. Some signs of wear but relative given its great age. In the photo some marks: to be cleaned. The varnish is coming off in places but the sofa has never been re-varnished (which may possibly allow easier sanding for a more contemporary light raw wood look). Spring base. Dusty but perfectly functional. Without mattress. Wood and skai. Length 148 cm / width 88 cm / height (at the highest) 77 cm / seat height 40 cm. Compact and stylish, it looks great in an entrance hall, a reading corner in a library...
