Oil on canvas mounted "Rue du Calvaire" - Émile Saadoun (1950s)

Magnificent Parisian urban landscape representing Rue du Calvaire in Montmartre, created by the painter Émile Saadoun (1925-1997) in the 1950s. This oil on canvas mounted on Isorel panel stands out for its very expressive handling of the material: the paint is applied in generous impasto with a knife and brush, bringing a lot of relief, texture, and character to the composition. It captures the typical atmosphere of Parisian alleys with its building facades, shopfronts in colorful touches (red, blue, green), and the silhouette of a tree in the foreground. Overall good condition, with some light wear visible in the photos.
