Beautiful pitcher stamped “arts céram grand feu” which is the brand of the pottery workshop of michel pointu (son of léon pointu) and his wife denise pointud-detraz in arquian near saint-amand-en-puisaye. We can date it quite precisely since this workshop was only productive between 1951 and the beginning of 1963. It was denise pointud-detraz who created the shapes and who was therefore at the origin of the very round shape, although fleshy of this pretty pitcher. The opening is large enough to fit your hand through and therefore makes cleaning easier. The enamelling is also interesting, slightly speckled gray, enhanced with a darker border around the edge of the opening. This pitcher is in perfect condition, no cracks, no chips, not even a chip. It measures 19 cm in height, 22 cm in width (from the handle to the belly in front), approximately 17 cm in diameter at the level of the belly. I also offer a mug from the same workshop (click on “see the store”, or search for js4bw5q8) also with this large thick handle, easy to hold, typical of arts céram ceramics.
