China. Circular fishbowl. Decorated in famille rose enamels. With peonies, chrysanthemums, and flowering prunus blossoms emerging from openwork rocks. The rim features a grid pattern, ruyis (a type of mulberry), and butterflies. Porcelain from the second half of the 19th century. Height: 35.5 cm. Diameter: 40.5 cm. Very good overall condition. A similar lot was sold on April 17, 2014, as lot number 224 in the Thierry de Maigret auction.
