Very beautiful brillie girl's clock from around the 60s. Rare in this size, diameter of 50cm, this clock was intended for a workshop, because it is waterproof: it opens from the front, and a seal system with fabric (here, cotton) prevents vapors and others from get into it. However, outdoor use is strongly discouraged. At the time, before the advent of computers, large institutions and companies needed to coordinate time. This is how time distribution systems were born: a regulator kept the time, with great precision, and as many receiver clocks (or “daughter”, “slave”) clocks as necessary were connected to it. When you collect these clocks today, you have to replace the master clock, so there is a little box inside, which runs on batteries, it comes with it. The clock is therefore fully functional.
