Pair of vintage empire green ceramic vases – Iris decoration & gilding

In glazed ceramic of a deep and shiny empire green. Very beautiful decorative work inspired by Art Nouveau / Art Deco: Front: Floral motif representative of irises in bloom, hand-painted in shades of purple, pink, and yellow, framed with gilding. Back: Delicate gilded foliage. Neck: Scalloped edge highlighted with a golden trim. Condition: Very good vintage condition. Shiny glaze, beautiful graphics. No major cracks or chips (golden signatures/marks present under the base). Some loss of gilding in places, which is normal given their age, corresponding to wear and tear, adding to their charm and vintage authenticity. Ideal for adding a retro, rustic, or elegant touch to a fireplace, sideboard, or side table. Dimensions: height 21 cm, diameter of the upper part 8.5 cm, diameter of the base 6.8 cm.
