Period: ca. 1897 and 1921. This pretty little frosted crystal vase embodies the art deco style. The model was designed by frantisek pazourek in the 1930s and was called "petit vendange". It features naked bacchantes (priestesses of the wine god bacchus) dancing in different poses harvesting grapes. The figures are in high relief. The foot is twelve-sided. It's molded glass. There is a sticker 'bohemia czechoslovakia'. Many of the original 1930s molds of popular items were reused in the 1950s when the communist regime wanted to popularize these items for export; it is therefore very difficult to differentiate between originals from the 1930s and later reproductions. This vase is in my opinion from the 1950s because labels were often used for export purposes. Status: good. Micro nibbling under the edge of the foot (see photo). Dimensions: 12.5 cm high, 5.8 cm wide, 0.325 kg.
