Teak sideboard – chest, denmark 1960s/1970s, vintage, mid-century modern

A beautiful, slim sideboard produced in the 1960s and 1970s in denmark. We affectionately call it "tv" due to the inner rim resembling the casing of a cathode ray tube tv. It is a great representative of danish vintage design - elegant, clean lines, nice form, rounded edges and neat handles. The chest of drawers is finished in teak veneer with nice grain, solid teak handles, rim and mounted on solid beech legs. The chest of drawers consists of 3 segments - left and right with sliding fronts, on the left there are 2 shelves, on the right there is a shelf and 2 handy drawers. There is more going on in the middle part, because we have 3 spacious drawers (2 lined with green velvet) and a bar with a decorated mirror and a shelf. The chest of drawers has undergone a full renovation process, including cleaning of old coatings, light staining to even out the color, replenishing the veneer and re-protecting it with several layers of hard oil-wax resistant to dirt and water. It has minor traces of use that do not affect the appearance and value of the furniture. The sideboard is massive, solid, fully functional, very roomy, and the doors and drawers move smoothly.
