Red Spider Table Lamp by Joe Colombo for O-Luce Italy

The Spider table lamp was designed in the 1960s by Joe Colombo for O-Luce, Italy. Its minimalist design is a hallmark of Colombo. The lamp is height-adjustable and the shade can also be moved. Executed in red metal and chrome, this iconic table lamp "Spider", designed by Joe Colombo for Oluce in 1965, features a red lacquered metal reflector, a chrome shaft, and a cast iron base, maintaining the clear, futuristic aesthetic for which Colombo was known. The adjustable head slides vertically along the stem and allows for lighting the surrounding area. Very nice original condition with only a few signs of age-related wear. Marked and dated 1967 on the inside of the shade. This piece, awarded the Compasso d'Oro (1967), is now part of the MoMa collection, a true design classic.
