This is a set of eight mismatched blue and white transferware plates and bowls. A one-off curated collection, perfect for displaying on a country cottage dresser or for weddings and vintage tea parties. Each pattern is different, each is equally as lovely. These look absolutely charming when layering on top of each other. You will receive exactly this set of plates/dishes. This collection weighs 3.4kgs/ 7.6 lbs altogether. There are two large dinner plates measuring 25.5cms/ 10" diameter. One is from a range named "english style" by "lunéville faience", founded in 1732." one medium dinner plate, measuring 23.5cms/ 9¼" diameter, marked "porcelaine, pyroblan, b.p". One large dish/bowl, measuring 22.5cms/ 8¾" by "sarreguemines, france". It is from a range named "romantic." four tea/side plates; three measuring 20.5cms/ 8" diameter and one measuring 20cms/ 7¾" diameter. Two have makers marks; "blue fruit, wood & sons, england" and "n.f. Fontebasso italy, swiss landscape". They are all in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. Some have ageing "hairline crackle" to the glazes, and some mild discoloration, which is to be expected with the age of these plates and is desirable for that "antique" look and feel, adding to their authenticity and charm. A couple of the plates have a slightly rough feel to the edges. Et voilà!...
