Glass library napoleon XL 1900

Old large library in xl format of napoleon style, in solid pine, late nineteenth early twentieth. This piece of furniture has a crazy charm, with its lower body consisting of two double-doors closing with a wooden handle button and two large drawers topped with original flowery cast iron shell handles. The top of the cabinet is composed of a large glazed bookcase, two double-doors closing with keys. The glasses are sublime, original, very fine with a bubbled appearance, this gives the furniture an authenticity and a certain singularity. A timeless chic in itself! The cutting of the doors around the glasses is absolutely refined, and gives the design of this piece of furniture very elegant details. This piece of furniture has a very substantial storage capacity. The high and low shelves are adjustable in height if necessary, only the middle shelves have a hook that allows the door to attach properly, thus imposing their fixed location. The furniture has been completely restored, it had a thick white and green patina that did not highlight its charms. It has been completely sanded, inside and out, left raw inside and on the middle board and then lightly tinted and protected using a transparent matte varnish. The exterior has been patinated with a shiny black napoleon lacquer leaving in transparency the veins of the wood, thus highlighting all its beauty. The whole thing was then waxed to protect it and enhance its patina. A skirting board on the low front side, note that it is no longer present on its right side. Beautiful decorative cornice. Very nice cutouts and patterns in the wood on the low doors. Very nice general condition, nevertheless this piece of furniture being very old, there may be defects in the wood, we see for example bites and vermoulures in the wood, some marks in it.
