Ctw coffee table by charles and ray eames, introduced in 1946 along with the dcw chairs and lcw armchairs, in plywood (plywood). Ctw was short for coffee (c) table (t) with a wooden (w) base. Second-generation table, sold by herman miller, but manufactured by evans plywood between 1946 and 1949. Recognizable by the flathead screws and the absence of the stamped model name, which characterized later tables manufactured by herman miller. Production of these tables was discontinued in 1954 until their reissue in 1994. The table features a circular five-ply plywood top, raised on four matching plywood legs curved at nearly 90 degrees. It is made of ash veneer. Recently restored, refinished. Very rare, especially in europe.
