Scandinavian Glass & Brass Ceiling Light by C Fagerlund for Orrefors, 1960s

Stunning mid-century modern Scandinavian brass & glass ceiling light designed by Carl Fagerlund (1915-2011) for Swedish Orrefors in the 1960s. Carl Fagerlund is one of the greatest Swedish designers of the 20th century, specialized in the design of glass lights. The shade is made of thick pressed glass with a decorative bubble pattern. It is fixed with a round brass mount to a thin brass backplate. It illuminates beautifully (see pictures). Great design & high quality. Perfectly works as an impressive wall lamp as well. Cleaned, rewired (hardwired) and ready to use (compatible in all countries, Europe, US, UK, etc.). Requires 6x standard E14 light bulbs. LED compatible. Diameter: 40 cm; depth (from ceiling): 12 cm. Quite heavy (c. 6.7 kg). Very good vintage condition. Beautiful patina on the brass parts.
