Pair of 19th century Empire candlesticks in polychrome metal

Sublime pair of antique xlxth century empire style candlesticks in polychrome orange-red and gilded metal numbered a514. Magnificent base on 4 turned feet decorated with friezes and knots with a devil's head mascaron on each side, elegant decorated column stem, superb art nouveau style branches with plant and flower decoration, elegant pearl bobeches accompanied by a removable part in the shape of a flame on the central branch. Note that one of the bobeches of this same central part is different depending on the candlestick, certainly due to an old restoration. Also note two holes on the back of one of the candlesticks, probably with the idea of wanting to pass a small cable through it. Does not interfere because the primary function of this pair is to be on a fireplace or on a piece of furniture, so we do not see this back side. This is an incredible and unique pair of candelabra that will add a touch of grandeur and luxury to any room and interior. ❖ dimensions: height 39 cm X length arm to arm 20.5 cm X base width 7 cm. ❖ in beautiful old condition, a small branch slightly fragile + see the description above as well as the photos.
