Description
This important lamp in the louis XVI style has a golden yellow fabric lampshade with finely worked biases and fringes on the bottom. The foot consists of two parts in opaline: an upper, rounded vase, lined with fluting, connected by a golden acanthus leaf to the lower one. The latter rectangular in chiseled molding is lined with grooves. The whole rests on a bronze base with four claw feet whose angles are patterned rinceaux on the top. This lamp with refined shapes diffuses a subdued light for an intimate atmosphere. ******** Era: 1950. Excellent condition. Operational electrification.
