Perriand original. Tripod stool, model "Berger" (also known as Méribel) - c. 1953. Superb original condition, very beautiful patina. Tripod stool made of solid beech. The concave circular seat rests on three tapered inclined legs, joined by visible through-tenons on the top. Originally designed in 1953 for the furnishing of the Méribel resort, this iconic model reinterprets vernacular alpine furniture. Its minimalist and functional design highlights the raw structure and characteristic joinery of Charlotte Perriand's work. The beech wood retains its original natural hue with its fine grain and the patina of time. Model "Berger" (low version), designed in 1953. Material: Solid beech in original natural finish.
