A wonderful table or desk lamp from Viennese modernism of the 1930s, designed by Josef Frank for Haus & Garten (Josef Frank and Oskar Wlach) in 1934. The model is called "Tisch Überall" and bears the number 1092. Made by J.T. Kalmar in Vienna, Austria. This rare lamp is handmade from brass, featuring an adjustable flexible arm shaped like a swan's neck and a stem/handle covered in dark brown leather. The lamp comes with a renewed shade using the same measurements as the original. It is covered in authentic Svenskt Tenn fabric with the colourful "green bird" (Grüner Vogel) pattern, also designed by Josef Frank. An old parchment paper shade is included. The lamp has been re-wired and is in very good condition with marginal patina. This lamp is a remarkable example of Viennese modernist design.
