Pair of Bergères in solid Beech, Louis XVI style – Late 19th century

Pair of elegant wing chairs in solid beech, walnut tone. The belt with its rudimentary front is convex, like its sides and back. Each of these shepherdesses rests on spindle-turned, fluted legs. On each side, two consoles rest on the legs and support the armrests with cuffs. The latter are profiled with the same molding up to the backsplash. The top of it is sculpted with foliage and topped with a knot. On the back, a central vertical wooden element is surrounded by two side elements. These seats are filled with feathers and covered in a magnificent terracotta orange satin velvet. ******** period: late 19th century excellent condition after restoration in our workshop.
