Pair of medallion back armchairs in Louis XVI style - late 19th century

Pair of natural wood (walnut / beech) medallion armchairs, moulded and richly carved. Oval medallion backrest with beaded frame, sculpted leafy ribbon around the edge, pediment with a bouquet of tied flowers (roses and foliage) Upholstered armrests with padded sleeves, console supports decorated with acanthus and foliage, flowered rosette feet. Waistband with braided laurel frieze. 4 tapered fluted legs with turned hoofs. Upholstery in velvet / striped beige fabric with fine satin stripes, beaded piping.
