Set of 5 bistrot chairs by kohn 1885

Set of 5 chairs n°20 stamped and labeled J&J Kohn, Vienna Austria, 1885 ca. Kohn's "omega" model is distinguished from that of Thonet by a "violin" backrest silhouette, and a thinness of the front feet not very common. This chair is judged by none as the most elegant of the No. 20. "Natural beech" shade, under pad-shellac. Excellent condition, stable and solid, fine example of wood selection. Can and should be used on a daily basis. Cannages in perfect condition, six new "French" wires in 2.25 mm X 2.5 mm. (A weave sr.) We left these cannages in their natural shade, they can of course be dyed on demand. Height 91 cm - seat diameter 41 cm - backrest width 42 cm - seat height: 46 cm.
