Springtime on your table with this pair of plates stamped K&G Lunéville Badonviller. The Chantilly ironstone model boasts vintage charm: floral motifs in shades of orange and green on an ivory background. Very 1970s. Scalloped edges enhanced with a green border. These plates are stamped Badonviller – selected by Kilt, a reference that testifies to the rich and changing history of earthenware manufacturers in eastern France. Originally, Badonviller was an independent manufacturer founded at the very end of the 19th century, quickly recognized for the quality of its earthenware with stylized decorations. Between the wars, it was integrated, like several other Lorraine workshops (including Lunéville and Saint-Clément), into a larger earthenware group. In this context, some productions are stamped with specific commercial mentions, such as "selected by kilt" - probably a distribution brand or a line intended for certain commercial circuits, particularly in the 1950s to 1970s. This model therefore embodies the transition between artisanal tradition and more modern production, while retaining the sober elegance and graphic charm specific to Badonviller. Good condition. Some small chips related to use on the edge of the plates. Diameter 24 cms.
