XL Vintage Balinese Carved Wooden Wall Panel / Frieze

A very long and decorative hand-carved polychrome wooden wall panel or frieze featuring a balinese melasti procession – a hindu balinese purification ceremony. It features a line of people (and an elephant) in a very long dragon boat. It was made in indonesia, very late 20th century. It’s wide enough to fill a mantelpiece or act as a decorative pediment over a door, but it can also be wall-hung anywhere by the brass hook to the panel’s verso. Excellent condition.
