Pair of "Bretzel" lamps in lucite and brass, by Dorothy Thorpe (1901)

Pair of "pretzel" lamps in lucite and brass, generally attributed to Dorothy Thorpe (1901-?), dating from the 1950s-1960s. Originally candlesticks, they have been converted into table lamps and their electrical system has been modified. Very decorative, they are distinguished by their translucent bases and the warm reflections on their brass fittings. In excellent condition, with no signs of wear on the lucite parts.
