A rare combination of 2 artists from the 30's for this exceptional lamp from the 30's. A real museum piece. The base of the jumo lamp is made of chromed brass, iron and aluminium model 610. The signed and beautifully tailored shade, made to order, is made of hand-enamelled Italian art glass by verda. Manufactured by vetri della arte (vedar). This lampshade was specially made for this lamp around 1930 and features a procession of Bacchanalian nymphs dressed in diaphanous neoclassical garments. It is worth noting that a glass bowl from the same house with the same motifs is in the permanent collection of the famous Corning Glass Museum. It works perfectly but is missing its original switch. It is in very good condition, the adjustment systems work very well. No breakage or scratches on the lampshade. Height: 55 cm. (additional information: the nymphs are represented in groups, some holding bunches of flowers while two others hold flaming torches dragging smoke. One nymph entertains the group with a diaulos. All figures are set in a dark classical landscape with rounded hills dotted with buildings and trees).
