Pair of English armchairs in ash and elm, of the elbow or captain's chair type, dating from the Victorian period, around 1900. Nice patina, good seating with the curve of the backs. Beautiful decorative pieces for a country house with a classic arch shape. The backrest features scrolls and a butler's handle. Eleven spindles rise obliquely to support the horseshoe armrest in ash. These are superb armchairs. Seat height: 42cm.
