Description
Very rare and special adjustable lounge armchair 4635f by gerard vollenbrock. Together with pierre mazairac, karel boonzaadjer and dick van spierenburg, vollenbrock was responsible for the design of leading furniture from the 1980s such as the dc chair by spierenburg for castelijn de box or fd chair by mazairac and boonzaadjer. Vollenbrock's 4635f fits seamlessly into this collection of epigonic designs and was vollenbrock's first design as well as his first design for gelderland. The armchair (plus accompanying footstool) was presented at the international (zevi) arredamenti fair utrecht in 1981 and was in production at gelderland until 1983. The armchair is in very good (used) condition, the cushion is still well filled and resilient. Some traces of age and usage on the leather, see photo (part of the description).
