Antique Rustic Farmhouse Folk Art Painted Kitchen Plate Rack / Wall Shelve

This larger plate rack dates from the mid-19th century and stands out for its special painting in characteristic folk art colours. The original paint has developed a beautifully weathered character over the years, matching its rural origin and farming life. On top are wooden pegs to keep crockery such as mugs and jugs in place. Two pegs are missing, which actually provides the opportunity to place a larger object. Occasional traces of woodworm have been checked and treated. This item must be collected.
