Old piano score to frame: "YES! WE HAVE NO BANANAS / YES! WE DON'T HAVE BANANAS." Comedy Song Fox Trot One Step / Chorus in vogue". Song written by FRANK SILVER & IRVING COHN. Decorative poster featuring an illustration by Roger De Valerio from almost 100 years old. Original Score by Salabert. ©1923 SKIDMORE NY. For the little story "Yes! "We Have No Bananas" is a song written by Frank Silver and Irving Cohn in 1922 and released in 1923. They would have written it after hearing a Greek fruit merchant answer with this sentence to a customer's question. The song was all the rage in 1923. Time magazine even devoted an article to him. The authors made a fortune with her. The song has been recorded by many artists, including Billy Jones, The Great White Orchestra, Selvin's Orchestra, Billy Murray, Spike Jones & His City Slickers, and Al Jolson. Traces of usgae, see photos.
