Very nice pair of inkwells of the nineteenth century in one block, from the victorian era, from the 1890's. In crystal and brass. In excellent condition. No cracks or chips on the crystal. The domed brass lids open in both directions (front and back) thanks to a small hinge or hinge system. They are also in a very good state of preservation, and keep their original beauty, certainly patinated by the years. Each of the lids bears the engraving of the name of the manufacturer of the time "betjemann's" on one hinge, and "patent" on the other. The inkwell weighs 1478 grams. Very beautiful and rare museum piece, by the originality of its shape, and its irreproachable state of conservation. Notice to serious amateurs and collectors.
