Spectacular and very heavy sculptural vase in Bohemian crystal, designed by the famous designer Josef Hospodka for the Sklárna Chřibská factory (Czechoslovakia, 1960s). A true glassmaking feat of Mid-Century design, this organic corolla-shaped piece fascinates with its exceptional weight (nearly 3 kg of solid crystal) and its sumptuous colour palette. Thanks to a perfect mastery of the "sommerso" technique, a bicolour glass core – a vibrant gradient of almond green / Caribbean blue – is captured in levitation within a thick mass of pure and translucent crystal. Freely shaped while hot, this vase features fluid lobes that amplify the play of light and refraction. The massive base with a carefully ground flat pontil attests to the excellence of this artisanal production. A centrepiece, ultra-luminous, ideal for energising an interior. Dimensions: Height 20 cm | Width of the neck 18 cm. Exceptional weight: 2.97 kg. Condition: Perfect condition, clear and luminous crystal. (Tiny signs of use under the base). An extremely careful packaging, with professional shockproof materials and double boxing, will be carried out to ensure the safe transport of this massive piece. Josef Hospodka, Chribska, Bohemian crystal, bicolour vase, sommerso, emerald green, azure, Czechoslovak design, 1960s, Mid Century Modern, stretched glass, art glass, Murano style, space age, dopamine decor.
