Brass and opaline glass lustre, Maison Lunel/Arlus style — 1950s
Superb vintage chandelier from the 1950s, in the style of the French houses Lunel or Arlus, renowned for their brass creations from this period. Entirely brass structure with a black lacquered rectangular base adorned with a central amber cabochon. Six curved "S" arms support frosted opaline glass conical tulips, diffusing a soft and warm light. Notable detail: two stylised dolphin motifs in gilded brass adorn the upper part of the stem, along with small faceted glass pendants resembling leaves. A piece with timeless charm, perfect for a dining room or a characterful living room. Condition: beautiful patina of the original brass. 2 tulips out of 6 have a material loss at the neck (see macro photos), which does not affect the fit on the socket or the electrical function, but is visible up close. The other 4 tulips are intact.
