Sofa bed designed by Charlotte Perriand for Les Arcs, circa 1970.
Corner sofa bed designed by Charlotte Perriand for the apartments of the Résidence Nova in Les Arcs, around 1970. Made of solid pine, it rests on a slatted structure incorporating two large storage drawers mounted on wheels, concealed behind a flap. The whole illustrates Charlotte Perriand's attention to functionality, offering furniture capable of serving multiple purposes while maintaining a great simplicity of implementation. The seat mattress and cushions are covered in a grey wool fabric from the Nobilis house. Once the cushions are removed, the sofa bed provides a sleeping area of 190 × 80 cm. This version features a small side table. Seat height: 45 cm. Provenance: Résidence Nova, Les Arcs.
