Conti: the promenade / Animated landscape of elegant figures – Oil on canvas signed – Important blackened wooden frame. Beautiful oil on canvas depicting a lively countryside landscape with figures walking along a tree-lined path. The composition, bright and very decorative, is treated in a palette of greens, ochres, yellows, and blues, with a clear sky dotted with clouds. The figures in colourful costumes add a lively touch to this rural scene. The painting stands out for its free and expressive brushwork, particularly evident in the treatment of the foliage, the path, and the play of shadow and light. The work bears a signature in the lower right corner "Conti". The painting is presented in an important architectural frame made of blackened wood, enhanced with decorative panels in mottled brown reminiscent of tortoiseshell. The frame, particularly imposing, is made in the style of 17th-century Dutch frames, with geometric mouldings and rhythmic decoration. A very decorative ensemble, combining a colourful painting with a frame of great presence. Period: early 20th century for the painting. Guilloché Dutch frame. Dimensions: h98 X 128cm.
