Brass inkwell with Napoleon figurine

Period: ca. 1915. This brass inkwell has a square shape, stands on four corner legs and has pen rests on all four sides. It is decorated with motifs of scrolls and acanthus leaves. The hinged lid of the inkwell is topped by a very recognizable figurine of emperor napoleon. It was made to commemorate the battle of waterloo and could therefore date from around 1915, the centenary of the battle. Status: very good. The glass jar of the inkwell is no longer present. Dimensions: 13.5 cm high, 14 X 14 cm wide, 500 g.
