Bright orange and a lush leaf motif: This cordless vase lamp combines vintage ceramics from Gräflich Ortenburg with a handcrafted lampshade made from an extraordinary, vibrant fabric. The vase comes from the Gräflich Ortenburg ceramic manufactory and is coated with an intensely orange, glossy glaze. Its softly rounded shape is defined by the high-set handle and the narrow neck – a typical mid-century design that appears pleasantly understated despite the bold colour. I have paired it with a cylindrical lampshade featuring a large-scale leaf motif. Dark brown and violet tones meet pink, orange, and bright yellow. The fabric looks particularly beautiful when the light is on: the fine leaf veins begin to glow, making the pattern almost graphically stand out. At the same time, the shade picks up the warm orange and yellow tones of the ceramic. As is customary with these vase lamps, the vintage vase has not been drilled or permanently altered. The lamp construction is fully reversible, ensuring that the original ceramic and collector's value are preserved. The lamp is cordless and can therefore be used independently of a power socket – on a sideboard, bedside table, or dining table, as well as on a shelf or outdoors on the balcony and terrace in summer. The rechargeable LED light source is charged via USB-C and can be controlled by remote. Dimensions. Total height: 42 cm. Vintage vase from Gräflich Ortenburg: 18 cm high × 13 cm wide. Lampshade: Ø 23 cm × H 23 cm. Cordless, rechargeable LED light source. Original vintage ceramic. Conversion without drilling, fully reversible. Unique piece – made in Berlin.
