Double-faced desk designed by Jacques Hauville, a French designer, for BEMA Bureau d’Etudes Modernes Appliquées à l’habitation. Design featuring curves, a suspended top, convex in shape, recessed from the drawers. On the left, a unit with 3 drawers, the first with a lock. 2 asymmetrical drawers on the right, the first with a lock. Two discreet additional storage spaces at the back. Off-centre handles and a square-section metal base with black rubber tips. Avant-garde design. An exceptional piece in good usable condition made of solid teak and veneer. Note that veneer jumps on the sides of the units have been compensated, and there are scratches on the top; see photos. Dimensions: length 190 cm / depth 87 cm / height 75 cm. Desk delivered disassembled.
