Joseph Simon Art Deco vase in clear cut crystal, ca 1925

Art Deco vase attributed to Joseph Simon for Val Saint Lambert. Imposing, heavy piece, signed with the brand's pastille (see photo). The geometric decoration, typical of the Art Deco style, highlights the transparency of the crystal and the quality of the cutting work. Model representative of Belgian production of the period, combining rigorous lines and technical mastery. This vase has some chips on the edges of the neck as well as the foot (see details in photos). It could be corrected by a glass restorer but we preferred to sell it as is at a reduced price. Joseph Simon collaborated with figures such as René Delvenne, and contributed to the stylistic renewal of the manufacturer between the 1920s and 1940s.
