Cod 10912 antique italian mythological painting depicting a cycle of the labors of hercules, when the greek hero aspires to marry princess deianira. On the right side we find the river god achelous who in legend will fight for the girl's hand. The god will attack heracles in the guise of a bull from which our hero tears off a horn which from that day became the cornucopia, symbol of abundance, filled with flowers and fruit by the nymphs in the center of the composition next to the princess. The protagonist is represented from behind with his typical attributes, the club and the fur of the nemean lion. Oil artwork on canvas of good pictorial quality and large dimensions, suitable for a large studio or living room. Painting from the second half of the 17th century, for antique dealers and collectors of high-period mythological paintings. 20th century frame in carved and gilded wood, with some signs of aging and small defects (see photo), beautifully decorated. Painting that has undergone restoration with relining, replacement of the frame and restoration of color in some places, overall in good state of conservation. Sight size h 102 X w 154 cm.
