Mune casing for canon Gribeauval 1775 - 1820 trunk chest Napoleon

This trunk was used to transport equipment and ammunition, especially during the wars of napoleon 1st. It was transported on a special wagon, then deposited at the back of the gribeauval cannon (1775 - 1820). This chest dates from this period. It is 64 cm long, 45 cm wide at the lid (41 cm wide box), and 42 cm high. It is still robust, with its roundtail and wrought iron assemblies. The lock has been forced in the past and is missing. A crack on one side of the lid with a weakening on the edge (see photo 5) I think there are missing additional handles for transport (break at the upper corners, see photo 10) Presence of holes of old worms, the chest has been disinsected. Very strong assemblies, sturdy wood. Very rare piece, which can even still be used!.
