• Elegant circular vegetable dish (or low soup tureen) in silver-plated metal by the Parisian house Gustave Jeannet. The body rests on a flat base and is flanked by two finely chased side handles featuring foliage and acanthus. The lid is adorned with a decoration of wide horizontal fluted bands, highlighted by geometric motifs of crossed ribbons ("X"). • Hallmarks: Presence in the basin of the official square hallmark of the master silversmith representing a heart surrounded by the initials "G" and "J" (Gustave Jeannet), flanked by the number "12" guaranteeing the quality of the period silver plating. • Period: Late 19th century / Transition Period (early Art Deco style). • Dimensions: Inner diameter at the neck: 19.5 cm|Total height (including handle): ~14 cm. • Condition: Very good overall condition. Preserved shine, slight normal usage micro-scratches, natural oxidation, and a small dent on the lid (see macro photo).
