Vintage 'zebra' mushroom lamp by Peill & Putzler, 1970s

Vintage 'mushroom' table lamp manufactured by peill & putzler in the 1970s. This lamp is made in one piece from opal glass with zebra print and a satin finish. The lamp has the original manufacturer's sticker inside as a sign of authenticity. This table lamp is also still in very nice condition. The lamp is fully intact and in beautiful vintage condition. When switched on, it gives a soft and atmospheric light. The manufacturer's sticker is still present on the socket as proof of authenticity. Dimensions are 26 cm (height) X 22 cm (width) X 22 cm (depth) Peill & son was founded in 1903 and merged with putzler (founded in 1869) in 1947, continuing under the name 'peill + putzler glashüttenwerke'. Throughout its existence, the company has collaborated with both important designers and other companies such as raak amsterdam and massive. At its peak (1950s), about 1500 people worked for the company. In 2004, one year after their 100th anniversary, the company was unfortunately declared bankrupt.
