Thonet Chairs No.14

Lot of three thonet chairs: this is the emblematic model no. 14 that made the success of the brand especially in breweries at the beginning of the 20th century (the famous "bistrot" chair). They are made of blond beech, beautiful work of bent wood that made the success of the brand, the canning is impeccable, they date from the middle of the twentieth century. For the record, thonet invented kit furniture long before the swedish giant: this chair no. 14 comes in 6 pieces that can be assembled to form a chair. A trace of stamp under each of them including a serial number and the zmp label. They all have some traces of time which gives them a beautiful patina. One of them is a little unstable but as it has felt skates under the feet, the concern may come from there... Another has the lower part of the folder slightly mobile. Otherwise for the rest, no complaints, comfort, quality and aesthetics are well at the rendezvous.
